Well, 1st off let me start off by saying what's up to all the Neo-Freaks out there.
As some of you may or may not know, I'm mainly responsible for starting the biggest,
baddest, and best Neo-list out there, the true "Neo Onelist." It was the vision of Dion Dakis
and Chris Ray along with myself to bring a real and true list where we could all feel free to discuss our neo
addiction without all the "cries."
All I can say is WOW.... We are greatly growing in numbers and today the interest in the NEO-GEO
is at an all time high. I can remember the days of old when I got
a hold of my neo-system and I had no clue of the Internet, those were truly dark days as almost no one I knew had a Neo and those who did could not look at the price tag in the face. It was not up until 2 years ago I was looking at some Neo-fan pages that I ran across an
a link to join some other neo-list. It was a total waste of time, but I
did get 2 things out of it.
Well, U can imagine soon after I joined that list I met the game lords of the NEO world, Enter
Dion Dakis and to my surprise He lived about 20 mins from my house. The phone call lasted about 2 hours as u might imagine the bond between Neo gamers is instant. Well, that very same weekend I went up to the
Dakis Neo pad quickly followed to a trip to Chris Ray land and well the
REST was history. Owning Only about 6 carts at the time my love for the Neo had just about faded. As I walked in and saw the amounts of Neo carts and related material I can say I felt and uneasy feeling in my stomach... and no it was not hunger.
It can be described as a Burning Fight Fever sensation flowing threw my veins. I felt compelled to buy more Neo carts and start my own collection of
NEO goods. The urge was uncontrollable.
I'll never forget the term that Dion used that night. He said
"Jorge, from this day on you are going to experience "THE
NEO-FRENZY!!" "
Well da man was right as I must have literally broke myself buying anything with the SNK/NeoGeo
logo on it.
Well, to this day I'm nearing the 100 cart mark and have since started my own collection of Neo related
goods. From Neo carts, to Neo comics, to Neo moist towlets, U name I collect it.
I am also one of the first original 4 people with the ultimate
collectors home cart "The Irritating
Maze" box set (the baddest competition game)!
Now with NGF formed and keeping the Neo alive, all I can say my Neo friends is that we are in for some very exciting times and I hope U all continue to
turn to NGF for all the latest happenings.
Let the cart hoarding begin....!!!!

NEO RANTING
Well, it's come to my attention that many of U Neo-Freaks are upset that Snk has abandoned the US market. Over the past couple of weeks I have had the chance to read and talk to a few of U over this decision. Well,
I've said it before and I'll say it again "Why do things have to go sour before We all start complaining?" If a-lot of u
"so called fans" were not pleased with the way SNK was taking care of things in the U.S.A, why didn't any of U guys complain or even take the time to write a letter? All the hardcores knew this was going to happen sooner or later. We all knew of the evil
SNK-USA ( barones) and the evil things they did, but We Real Freaks accepted what we got and the True
Neo fans lost at the end (thanks to the so called fans).
"Those evil paper neo-pocket boxes was a sure signal of this catastrophe."
One thing that has really dawned on me is the pride of the so called Neo-Freaks. We all wanted new games but when SNK gave them to
us many of U were once again quick to draw the gun and scream "Price tag."
I never understood why someone would commit to a system like the Neo knowing very well the price of the quality that comes with it. Now imagine this mentality and multiply it by a few
hundred! U quickly start to see the picture... Or how about this one... "Nah ill just wait till it comes up cheaper in some bargin
bin." One cant truly put the blame on SNK for this decision U have to look at the whole picture and put the pieces together
one MEG at a time. Yes, Neo-freaks U can put some of the blame on U the
"so called fans." Perhaps if many of u did not let SNK sit on a couple of hundred
carts or so We could have had many Japanese Only greats released in
English!. Still Puzzled ???
Are U guys in MEGA-SHOCK??? Think about it .....!! THE FANS IS WHAT IT ALL COMES DOWN 2.
I'll go as far and say the cultural difference between Japanese and US gamers Cheap antics have tons to do with it .
Well, I hope U guys learn from history as it always tends to repeat itself.
Here's hoping NGF DA BEST..... !!!!!!

POINTING NEO FINGERS
Well, folks here I am again Writing my little 2 bits for you while looking threw some
NEW Issues of game mags and low and behold what's this? Oh Yes It's an editorial review Of something I ranted about last month.
The Demise of SNK
Let me Quote a little of this Mag for you, Gamefan September issue.
" But do you know who is to blame for the failure of the Neo pocket in America? "
" There's really only one person that's Ultimately responsible for the demise of the NGP :
YOU ....... Yes, you The so called FAN........ !!!!!!
Not enough Let me keep the quotes going so you can get the full picture.
" perhaps the most sickening detail of it's retreat from the U.S. shores is that gamers everywhere Ran at a rapid pace to clean out U.S. retailers of their NGP stock before
SNK could do it ." Again the EVIL so called FANS!!!!!!
Shall Neo-Jorge continue the Rant??? Yes, lets keep going,
" Now what does that tell you? "
That you waited till the company was dead and had closed up shop to show your Support "
God I'm loving this ....... Naughty So called Fans.......
"Does it make any sense ? " " Is this what it takes for people to buy products?
( note Last time I mentioned U.S. Gamers have cheap Antics )
" Does it Take the destruction of a viable platform before people realize it's something they should have bought into ages ago ? " For Shame So called Fans..........
Well, this was just a little icing for you The article goes on to say lots more,
I do however this month have one grip to the editors of EGM which this month goes on to state a very interesting little tidbit of info I found very disturbing. Here is there Quote. "Another possible factor to the demise of SNK in the U.S. Their loyal audience of hard-core fans?? " Some who regularly spend Upward $ 300.00 for new
neogeo games, were often so hard-core that they didn't wait for the domestic Versions of the games to be released through SNK America. Here's the Quote that had me rolling "You cant blame the kids because they just want to play the games as soon as possible " quote Said one Ex-SNK employee."
Is this mag serious when was the last time some KID Had $300.00 PLUS to burn???? All the real hard-core Neo players
are adults over 25, some PREFER the Japanese version. The only reason a Neo hard-core might buy a Japanese version Is maybe due to the fact that No U.S. Version was
released or is usually released. Oh "Why" do U ask........???? Oh I don't know..... Maybe the
SO CALLED FANS..... that didn't buy games from SNK-USA, burned SNK USA with all that
unsold Stock of US versions of the Games, Sitting collecting Dust in the
SNK warehouse. They knew that the SO CALLED FANS don't buy most
games.
The SO CALLED FANS all talk and make requests for new games to be
released, but once a new game is released, the SO CALLED FANS don't put
their money where their mouth is.
Digger Man is a great and perfect example of the SO CALLED
FANS in action.
It's a newly released game. I'm getting my copy, will you?
Let me guess, you SO CALLED FANS won't, right?
So there U go....... Go and rest easy Neo SO CALLED FANS....!!
After all it was not your FAULT.........OR WAS IT?

Neo Good Will
Hello freaks it's been a while since my last update. You know as I sit here and write this I marvel in amazement that we have entered the turn of the century and the
Neo games still keep coming. Lately I've been overdosing on alot of the older neo tittles and I feel they still have the cool elements that made them so fun especially
Magician Lord the challenge is second none. What a long way
Neo games have come and with the turn of the century so have the collectors and
wannabe Freaks. The Neo influence is everywhere it's just 2 bad that in the USA things
don't cling to people for very long It's always some sort of Trendy fad or cool thing to do till something flashier comes along. I really wish things were different and things would have worked out for
SNK. Could U imagine the things that We could have had. It would have been out of this world to see a Neo based theme park or a Neo-cafe here, But alas what is one to do? Who is to blame? Who knows but a good thought that always seems to bring ease of mind is Cheap Antics and So called fans.
Remember these 2 and you will never have to ask that question ever.
Well, enough of that anyway I,m curious to know if any of you Freaks have ever had an once of good will running in your Neo-vitals? Have any of you ever did something for your fellow Man? Well, I Would like to share a little story with you all that I recently played out. It goes a little something like this, Once upon a time there was this So called fan that Simply loved the
Neo. This Fan ate, slept, and drank Neo. Call it Battle of Destiny Or what-ever but Neo-jorge one day came upon this so called fan one day playing on a 2-slot MVS machine. Well, As I came upon this MVS machine I noticed how well this Fan played and quickly I challenged. Neo-jorge lives for the fight and Never Turns down an opportunity To display his unique fighting style and skill. The battle was close and heavy but Neo-jorge came out victorious, I said nothing and to my surprise the Fan turned around and shook Neo-jorge's hand and said "dude you rock" How do you know how to play So well? Well, I replied having the
AES carts at home and being able to play when-ever helps. The Fans eyes lighted up like a
Chicago sky-night, "Dude you own a NeoGeo?"
"Why Yes I do so called fan." "Dude I have been looking for one of those machines for a long time."
"Well they are kind of expensive and you have to really know how to look for one to attain one." I replied. Well, to make a long story short I took it upon myself to take him as my patuwon Learner and instruct him in the ways of the Neo. The so called fan learned fast and He was finally ready to see the True power of the force. As I once was Shown a great library and
was taught a great deal of things, I felt compelled to do the same for the so called fan. The fan stared in awe at the site of the holy grail that is the Neo and the masses of
AES carts all nicely shelved. I saw Neo-frenzy in his eyes, I knew that from that day on he would never be the same. Was I right? Well, Neo-jorge has 3
NeoGeo decks and offered the Fan a great deal that was impossible to pass up the deal even included 5 great bunk Snk classics. The next day at the early crack of dawn there was a knock on my door it was the so called fan with a pile of cash in hand. " Here you are" I said
"Remember not to get it wet, expose it to bright light and never ever feed it after midnight. " Well after that the so called fan retreated to his cave for hibernation and I never saw him
again. I sometimes wondered what kind of stories he would have about my former Son (the Neo I sold him for all you slow thinkers) Well call it fate but last night our path once again crossed at the same arcade We 1st encountered at. As our SNK match of
kof99 proceeded to round 2 I asked about my former Son. " So how is the Neo working out for you so called Fan " He replied
"Dude I just made an Awesome trade for a turbo-graftx 16 and some cool games for that Neo."
Well, there you go Neo-freaks....
Heed this as a lesson and be wary of the so called fans, they are a dime a dozen.
leave the Good-Will to the salvation Army.
NEO-JORGE
